Enter the Citroen Saxo, built for the masses at a time where “does it have carplay” meant have we got a pack of cards in the glovebox. Compared to nowadays offerings it’s a complete fresh breath of air, its cheap to run, quiet, fun to drive and a true example that simplicity is best. Everytime we have driven it we’ve had a big grin on our faces.
And think to yourself, when was the last time you saw one , and the one in good nick? Let alone a truly standard example, even down to the factory radio, which somehow sounds amazing compared to modern base models.
Windy front windows, pop out rears and a sunroof, what more does anyone need.
